On August 13, 2013 we hosted a live chat to discuss the experience of leaving the religious life or seminary. We had a lively conversation with many beautiful insights. We touched on topics like asking for help, not feeling alone and how to be a friend, among others. Please write any comments below! We hope you enjoy watching it!

I just watched your live chat discussion. You had lots of good thoughts. Keep up the good work. Blessings!
Thank you very much!
Here are some of the great tweets we were sent (and didn’t see!) during the web chat!
-great idea re — diocesean assistance. There are some diocese that do have vocation programs for women
-Reentering can be really lonely — I do think something to connect others together (in an anonymous way) may really help.
-If I’m in my early twenties, is it too weird to want to be around older Catholics? My peers seem to be less mature…
-What about those of us who have entered after high school and are attending college? How common is this?
-Danielle’s comment “tension” is SPOT ON lol
I think the chat was a great idea. It’s like those questions many people have but don’t really know how/who/when to ask. Thanks for the help and I hope you do it again!! I also mentioned the ministry to the woman in charge of vocation awareness at my diocese. She had left the convent after many years and also agreed that this is a beautiful way to show support!
Thanks for the support and passing the message along!
